Patient quote from Your Nerves Are Having Back Surgery

When this resource became available I immediately ordered some and shared one with one of our neurosurgeons. Months later a nonsurgical patient I was evaluating made a comment regarding how she was doing so well. The same neurosurgeon with whom I had shared this resource had assured her, "Your hurts can't harm you". From that point on she stated that she knew things were alright. Imagine what a head start I had in treating this patient! The heavy lifting was already done because her fear was all but absent.

relief

Recently I gave this to a patient who was going to have surgery. She did not take my advice to read the pamphlet before surgery. When she finally did read it, a couple of months after her surgery, she expressed a huge sense of relief. Reading this explained what she was going through and eliminated her fear about some residual symptoms. She expressed gratitude for being given this very helpful resource.

Great preoperative information

Nearly every patient today is getting pre-operative information online thru google searches. Who knows what they are reading prior to surgery and the stress this will cause them. The information in this book is state of the art, straight forward and very easily understood by patients. It gives them information that lets them know what to expect and why. This information has been shown in research to make people more comfortable going into surgery, which ultimately decreases their pain following surgery. Knowing that my patients have the best ACCURATE information going into surgery is invaluable for me. Another tremendous book by the author!

Great information - very, very helpful

Received "Your Nerves Are Having Back Surgery" booklet. It was one of the best informative items I got before surgery. My wife and I read it at least half a dozen times. It explained in laymens terms what to expect before & after surgery. Very, very helpful in answering a lot of questions.
