Created by physical therapists Bob Schrupp and Brad Heineck, the Hanging Handles are a simple, easy way to perform exercises to help decompress the thoracic and lumbar spine (mid- and low-back) and promote the health and range of motion of the shoulders.

This all-in-one kit includes wall anchors, clips, handles and mounting hardware. Designed to withstand 275 lbs. each, the Hanging Handles are easy to assemble and can be used for a variety of simple, fast exercises you can do on a daily basis.

Passive hanging helps decompress your thoracic and lumbar spine (mid and lower back) and can be used to help treat shoulder pain caused by shoulder impingement. Regular hanging exercise can also promote grip strength, shoulder stability, core stability and even improved posture. Additional uses include stretching and core exercise. Adjust level of decompression by hanging with feet on or off the ground.

Surprised by the amount of exercises/stretches you can do with these

Started using these a few weeks ago for 2 reasons. Reason 1 was back pain. I needed to find a way to get a deeper stretch to reduce some chronic low and upper back pain. It feels good after and has helped to slowly reduce the amount of pain I feel over the last few weeks. Reason 2 was too add some varied strength routines in my workouts. I can get a great workout with these! I like that they take up virtually no space in my home gym as I do not have any floor space left for additional equipment. I have watched the demo videos to get some more ideas on possible workouts and can say most of them worked well. I try to use the Hanging Handles at least 3x per week. I would suggest daily if you have the time.
