From the Back Cover
In The Sensitive Nervous System Butler has brought together the key elements of best current practice for manual therapists and presented them within an immediately accessible clinical framework. He encourages an evidence-based approach, underpinned by basic science. In this book, his aim is to demystify the scientific processes behind neurodynamics and the pain revolution and give therapists practical tools for clinical use.
More than giving recipes for treatment in the clinic, The Sensitive Nervous System encourages movement-based therapists of any persuasion to view their work, patients and methods through fresh eyes. Through his own rich clinical and teaching experience, Butler invites clinicians to be inventive, scientific and methodical in order to benefit all stakeholders in the patient's outcome.
