UTILIZING GRADED MOTOR IMAGERY IN EVERYDAY CLINICAL PRACTICE TO EASE PAIN
Pain and reduced movement can alter cortical brain maps, contributing to the development or persistence of pain. Graded motor imagery (GMI) is a structured therapeutic approach aimed at restoring these maps to reduce pain and disability. Evidence supports GMI’s effectiveness in conditions such as complex regional pain syndrome, phantom limb pain, and chronic low back pain. This webinar will demonstrate how GMI and its components—such as mirror therapy and motor imagery—can be applied across various painful conditions to improve movement and accelerate recovery.
