Nice laser headband

Rarely one needs a head-mounted laser. This little device is inexpensive and does the job. I think best to have a couple of them so if charge runs out on one, can swap in another. I have no idea why there is a miner's light attached to the laser. This guy could be simplified and use less power with just the laser.

good and bad

the product worked great for the first year but then the charger did not work and I am having to purchase a second unit. I emailed OPTP and they told me they did not replace the charger or the piece if it broke. So it works but be prepared to buy multiples

Perfect for re-training upper cervical musculature

This system is great to activate those small upper cervical muscles during functional movements. The laser gives the therapist and patient feedback on how well those muscles are coordinating. It is a beginning level exercise program that works great!

Great training tool

Great cervical training tool. Not too sure I needed the charts as most patients just opt for painters tape at home. But the device itself it worth every penny. Priced very reasonable for patients. BP

Great for Motor control for shoulders and Neck patient

I purchased the entire system a few years ago and recently the new headlamp. I tend to see a high volume of shoulder and neck patient. I use the maze and the grid to assist these patients in regaining motor control. I frequently hear from my patients how can something so simple be so challenging. The only concern I have is infection control for use of the head harness. i wipe them down between patients but I am not sure how this will affect the durability of the straps. I think it would be nice to have a vinyl covering or something such as that to allow better infection control measures.

Easy to use

Has worked well and the rechargeable feature makes it lighter on patients' heads since there are no longer AA batteries. Wish I could angle the light like on other head lamps just to help with the laser better lining up with patients' vision. Otherwise a great product for a good price.

Hi Laura, Thanks for your review and product feedback! If you pull the laser / light portion from the top down, it tilts out to approximately 90 degrees. Might work a bit tight at first when new. See the knee and wrist product images that demonstrate use at various angles...

Works great, but build quality could be better

The function and adjustablity of the laser is very good. I like the fact that it uses 3 AA batteries instead of the small silver hearing aid type batteries like most other lasers. The head band material could definitely be better. The cheap material they used makes the head lamp difficult to use on some ( usually bigger) heads. The plastic door for the batteries can be fussy because it's made too cheaply as well. Fix those 2 things and you have an easy 5 star device!

Great tool

It is a great tool for cervical motor control retraining. Just like the other review I hope that they can make the lamp more durable. I've had to purchase additional lamps as it breaks easily when it was accidentally dropped even on carpeted floors.
